Update on Pakistan Earthquake appeal
To Anglican Mainstream
A year has gone by since the terrible earthquake of October 2005, causing horrendous damage to life and property, after which we were greatly challenged to try and meet the needs of the people who were affected by it. Now, a year after such a devastating earthquake, we wish to thank all those who came to our help and supported us in whatever way they could, by prayer, cash or by kind. Many of you came forward and we appreciate every one of you.
We are sending you by post an Impact Study, prepared at the request of and on behalf of the IBADAT Trust, on the relief work carried out by us in Azad Kashmir following the earthquake, from which you will see what God enabled us to achieve during the past year.
You will be pleased to know that on 1 October we moved from a temporary tentage clinic, from where we were offering medical assistance to the earthquake affectees of Ghaziabad, Azad Kashmir, into a more permanent prefabricated hospital which houses wards for indoor patients, male and female, as well as an operation theatre and laboratory, in addition to the usual facilities for outdoor patients. All this was made possible by your generous donations and prayer support. The hospital was formally inaugurated that day and the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir was present with us on that auspicious occasion as one of our Special Guests. We enclose some pictures taken at that time.
With prayerful good wishes
Yours sincerely
+Azad Marshall
