DigiMission

Come to this event on 1 Dec hosted by the Evangelical Alliance and explore how technology shapes faith, church and mission.

We will be looking at a number of issues – not just blogging but looking at how mission might need to look, recognising that more and more of us are spending time online – on social networks, twitter, blogs and more.  How should that change the way we do conventional mission?  Shane Hipps, author of Flickering Pixels: How Technology Shapes your Faith, will be joining us from America via live video and there will be a chance to ask him questions.

Shane Hipps is pastor of Trinity Mennonite Church, a growing, urban Anabaptist congregation.  Prior to accepting his call as a pastor, Shane was a strategic planner in advertising where he gained experience in understanding media and culture. He went on to earn a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, and in 2004 accepted a call to serve as Lead Pastor at Trinity.  Shane is a dynamic communicator, author and sought after speaker.  He lives with his family in Phoenix, Arizona.
