Further attacks on Christians in Nigeria

On 17 July 2010, Christian villagers in Mazah, a small village near Jos, Nigeria, woke up to gunfire in the night. As they ran out of their homes in fear, they were butchered by extremist Islamists armed with machetes. At least eight villagers were killed and ten houses burnt down. The pastor of COCIN Church lost his wife, two daughters and his grandson, who was burnt alive in the house after it was set on fire. The pastor’s church was also completely destroyed.
